Architectural Glass: Fire-Rated

Test Photos

Pyroguard clear has been fire tested by UL and Intertek Warnock Hersey.

Both photos were taken during the fire test performed by UL Laboratories. The photo at the left was taken a short time into the test, indicating that the glass in Pyroguard clear cracks to allow the heat to activate the resin. The resin then becomes brown and eventually black, as shown in the photo at the right. It was taken 22 minutes into the test. When the resin reacts to the heat, it holds the glass together, thus giving the necessary integrity to Pyroguard clear during the fire.
